Just refining my next track and there is something weird happening in my Retro Bass sound that I created in Hybrid using a preset. I have linked to the sample below. The issue I have is that there is a very obvious cut in and out at seemingly random points of the notes of high frequency content. It is most notable at -0:09. There is a lot of movement in this sound but there is a very obvious change and I don't like it! I have tweaked the Filter envelope as I thought it may be to do with that, and it is not velocity related as it is normally half way through a note, rather than the Attack or Decay portions......any guidance would be appreciated! I have also included a screen shot of the Synth interface.
Hi Tone, nice work on this. It is structured really well and has great progression and continuity in my opinion. All the elements seem to fit well together. Only slight issue is I'd say the mix isn't quite right. Everything's seems to be in your face throughout so perhaps think about your mix priority and tone (sorry no pun intended!!) down some elements n favour of others shining through.
Being an amateur myself, take my critique with the salt it deserves but overall I like it, great work!
Have something in progress at the moment. Aim to have it finished in the next few weeks. Hopefully all in key!!

[/quote] Hi Simon, I didn’t ever release this, always start the process of making some of my tracks available on streaming services via SoundCloud but it’s such a cumbersome process I end up putting it down for a while whilst I sort out the artwork etc….. I saw your other thread on this, I’d be happy to learn more about the project and how I could contribute to that with my tracks.

Ok so I didn't spend as much time as I wanted to on this and this is the first time I have entered anything like this, so please be gentle! My main aim was to submit an entry so TICK!
PS: I know Rob said in the intro video for this that we should aim for the sounds to be recognisable, and of course some of the samples are clear, but that arpy haunting type pad that comes in at around 2:00 and evolves into a plucky back drop is actually one of the Sax samples! I loved how that sounded so wanted to include it here!
Interesting track! Took me back to a chilled out version of some old skool jungle, just the samples and the breaks especially in the early sections. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely has that trancey retro feel about it and feels light an airy! Can't help but want a bigger drop but that's just my personal taste (you've listened to some of my stuff! ). The arrangement works well and all the elements work well together, nice work.
Have hopefully addressed the tuning issues. Made sure I matched the key of the samples I used with the keys of the chords and arps using the 'Scale' button in my MIDI tracks. Changed the notes that don't sit in the scales and hopefully you find this sounds better. I think it does, but not 100%.
