Thanks Rob, appreciate the detailed feedback, I'll certainly have a play around the areas you've mentioned. I'm definitely a 'huge synth' kind of person , that tends to end up with them being the biggest element but definitely good to have fresh ears on the mix!

Just sharing my latest track. Quite pleased with how it turned out but always have that self-doubt as a producer just starting out! Pleased I am learning new skills whilst finishing tracks though!

Thanks, really appreciate that and the reference to Astrix is definitely well received, I like his style. I'm going for a bit of a flavour of Psy-trance but I also like the uplifting and banging trance from the late noughties. I actually used my fave track of all time as the initial reference/template for this:

Thanks both for the feedback. The secret to finishing is really just to put the time in with the aim of finishing, even if it is not what you expect or want it to be, just finish the dam thing! That's the most valuable way to learn.....quantity over perceived quality....and with that the Quality grows because you are consistently learning and the habit to finish is formed! 

I think the kick issue was just me, I think it's actually ok and not really noticeable, perhaps I was so used to listening to the unmastered kick for so long in the process that any minute change I made massive!! 

Anyway, on with my second track now which is hopefully going to be a banging uplifting Trance tune, a nod to one of my favourites from the late 2000's! My favourite era for Trance!

I'll check that out. I also had a look at a few youtube videos and found that there are quite a few apps that enable you to do this relatively easy and royalty free. Godaddy Studio is what I produced my latest track's cover art and it took about 10 minutes!

Hi all, as I venture in to making my own music and start to release a few tracks to the world, I was wondering how people get their artwork, beyond a google image search (which I am sure is fraught with copy write issues in any case!).

I do want good quality artwork that goes well with the vibe of the track and having never really done this before wondered if anyone could offer tips and advice. Note, my scarce time will be on producing music rather than my own artwork!
