Thanks all! I think Vocoding is actually a great idea for this week.
Turning an 8-bar loop into a full track sounds like a good plan for next week's livestream - I know people can never have enough arrangement tips! I'm actually working on a brand new track, which should be good for this too.
Mastering is a deep subject Simon! And, honestly, not one I'm particularly specialised in, which is why I generally leave it to Seppa, Adam Goodlet and the other tutors with more experience on that front. That said, I could do an Ozone 10 focus. Would that be of interest? Maybe that could be the first stream back in Jan.....

Mastering - where to get it down and how much to pay

I'm pretty interested to know any experience people have had too. With mixing as well as mastering. I've tried a few different services over the years, to make comparisons with my mixes and/or save time and haven't had a huge amount of success honestly! I know there have to be plenty of good ones out there but I've not found any personally yet.

There is a replay (past livestreams). I didn't go into it though Nick, just mentioned it. I will go into it more on the next stream, when I'm making my DnB remix (next week)... see how much fatter we can make it. As a general rule though, I'm into the concept. It's already what most Bass Music producers do moreorless, e.g. limiting the bass, drum buss... etc. and it certainly spreads the load, which is always a good idea in production in any case. In other words, not putting too much pressure on a few effects that are doing all the work, but sharing the work between a number of different effects instead. And if you're using good effects like DMG ones, and using them correctly, so not overdoing it, it's not going to add any noticeable digital artefacts or anything.

Great work! Really interesting track. It's closer to trance than ambient for sure. The beats are quite light but it's still a full on sound, as the synths are intense! I love the epic arrangement and always dig fusion styles, especially when they involve eastern flavours.
