I spent a few nights going through my eq plugins  trying to replicte the same changes and making notes of the differences.  Really felt the benefits in starting to understand the differences between them, such as saturation they introduce.  Hopefully these sorts of exercises help in developing the ear and learn how to pinpoint what to use (when and why)

One day I will try the same with other types of effects...

Hi Rob- maybe too late to drip feed in a request for the livestream.  I've finally found some some inspiration for the henge track and working on dubstep track at 140bpm. 

Finding it tricky working with the vocals though and was wondering if you would be able to give tips on chopping up the vocals and working at this speed.

Doesn't matter - either way. Am looking forwards to  the stream.

Also massive thanks to you and people from the community for sharing files. Massive time saver!

Hey @noodin - I really like it; feels like a nice groove with lots of interesting features and like the way you bring in lots of different elements to keep interest.

I'm no expert, but feels like the pad washes over the low end quite allot and I think it comptes with the bass a bit.  Its a nice wash of sound though and the drums still punch though pretty well in my opinion.

It reminds me of a Christmas advert on tv..

@ptmembership - I look forwards to the tutorials. 

Ive been looking at Simon Shackleton's tutorials on remixing - they really helpful as well.  I'm struggling to find a bit of the track I can make into a "cornerstone" as he calls it; I really love the track, but finding it really difficult to find an extract that I can use to get a vibe.  Would be possible to have a livestream where you kick off with a remix - I really found this useful previously, so hope this will help me find some inspiration...
