Drum Synth Plugins

Anyone using any drum synthesiser? Kick or punchbox or maybe Nerve ? or something else that you think -must have-? Or, do you prefer sample libraries? More importantly which one would you recommend?

I'm much more about the samples these days, so Loopcloud or Loopcloud Drum for all my drums. XO is a pretty cool plugin too though. Have you seen that one?

Using samples is something I think I have to get used to, but I've checked XO, not yet tried the sound but loved its design!

Interesting question! I use both and I'd say don't have a preference, all depends on my mood and type of track I want to make. I'd say a drum synth is better for jamming quick ideas and also limiting your drum palette in a creative way. Samples are better in terms of options and endless variety
