Hello all! Been a while - apologies. I remember when the topic of AI and music making coming up, at the start of the ChatGPT boom about two years ago, was pretty unanimously derided as a bad idea.
2 years on, I wonder if people feel any differently about SUNO etc? Or AI powered plugins? I'm not sure how i feel about it... Let me know your thoughts

I'm preparing to DJ for the first time in a while, and I've been going through some old tunes - and absolutely loving it! It got me thinking what were the songs that first exposed me to electronic dance music?

Good stuff as usual! Love the pumoiness of it, very hypnotic - I personally like the music and wouldn't really change it much. I would say that the high end is too harsh, and would lead to ear fatigue. I would have a look at a spectrogram reading of the track, and if you see a big increase in volume around the 15-20k region, I'd suggest removing it. By doing this, it'll also bring out the lower end more. Still great track, keep em coming!

Thanks for your feedback/help. It seems likethe hats are definitely the main culprit. I'll tone them down and perhaps swap them out for a different sample methinks! I'll try your various suggestions and see what works best and get back here with the results soon. Thnx!

I actually agree that you're right - and it's a reminder that sometimes the music and the mixing aren't always as seperated as I might think! There's either some kind of hole, or too much going on.
I think you mgiht be right about the hats - listening back now, a week or so later, I can hear my own mistakes a little more clearly. Thanks for helping to bring it to my attention!
