Pachelbel 2025

Let us hear you!

Hi all I've had about 18 months away from production and also changed Daws (embracing Ableton).
So I followed along with Rob's Future Rave series and created this which took far longer than I had hoped it would, as I needed to take more time to learn to use the software.

Would love to hear all feedback

Thanks in advance

Tech House practice - Trippin'

Let us hear you!

Really liking the track @petter - great structure and I really like the interplay between the vocals and how the instruments work together nicely.   Keep them coming

Hi @Rob - Ive been looking through some of the ableton courses and so far I'm stepping back to basics and just trying to get my head around the basic controls.  Im a long way from running out of courses to do to be fair!
Great to hear that you are going to be bringing out some Ableton 12 courses - sounds like just the job for me.  Im also loving the Ravey series as well.  Ive been thinking about a couple of areas where Im currently scratching my head:

Ableton:
- Suggestions for keyboard shortcuts and keeping a speedy workflow
- Any Ableton devices would be welcome, Im working through the archives as well
- Using Session vs arrangement view - examples of when to flip between them.  I can see starting off in session view and then switching to arrangement view is good way to go, but are you able to show examples of switching back to session view to work out some variety to the arrangement
- Using Audio / Midi to tweak drum loops - pros and cons of each

Not necessarily Ableton:
- How to get Snare and Kick to work with each other (specifically when they play simultaneously)
- Tips for keeping interest using minimal sound design and using automation to keep interest - where to use Automation to get maximum impact with minimum effort
- Tips on moving drums off the grid (how much variety would you use vs consistency across a track)

Thanks in advance.

New dancey rave track

Let us hear you!

Hey @SamuelClouston - As usual another banger from you!  Really nice arrangement and sound selection and the structure works well.  If I was going to throw some thoughts:
Drum levels are slightly inconsistent and at times the snare feels a little jarring.  Also it feels like some of the instruments and drums get in each others ways at certain times.  I'm loving the acid bass when it first comes in and then it just falls back and becomes a bass (losing the high end movement) - that feels like a shame, although its feels very welcome when it returns at the end.
Saying that I wish I could produce something that sounded as polished as this.  Lovely track

Any Output fans here? What about that new 'AI Pack Generator'? What about 'Arcade'?

DAW or Software Questions

I use portal and thermal.  Love them both.
Thanks for the top @deltadio - that pack-generator looks well worth a play...

Hi - Ive taken the plunge to live now, so trying to wrap my head around that at the moment.  Anything you could signpost me to would be appreciated, or I will equally keep my eyes peeled for any Ableton tips.

Also, @petter, did you check out Seppa's sub bass masterclass, there were some really good vital tips in that if I remember rightly.
