I'm usually unable to catch the Live streams 'live' so I'm well behind here, however I heard you asking for feedback on the Mixing Fundamentals course. Personally I think its bloody awsome...I thought I might just jump in near the end to avoid the basics and I've been riveted from word go. Its actually helped me out with stuff I didnt pickup on the Basic Ableton course (ex Reason diehard:)) Well paced, well delivered.Thanks fort that, Rob

Thanks very much for this ..... Yes it IS very tempting to go for it when you see the "Lifetime" thing going for £99, however I shall resist and learn to use all the iZotope and PA tools I currently have (and dont know how to use properly:)) . Will def do some comparison checks down the line.

Has anyone any experience with the Cloud Bounce desktop app? Various tempting deals popup on Plugin Boutique and ADSR etc...and I'm thinking..Should I?

....... I export the final mix I just make sure it's peaking around -8 dB so there's enough headroom for mastering. And yes in the course there was no limiting on the master channel.


Thank you very much, that was always one of my problems - over cooking the mixdown master level . I took a lot out of the course and look forward to the next episode.

Thanks for the info, Rob. I might just wait till November as I've had the Iris 2 for a while and been using only the presets (cos I'm a numpty) plus I'm just about to start part 2 of the Ableton course so that'll keep me occupied for a bit.
BTW, I'd like to request something on Vital for a future venture.

@Jafunk - Not sure if this is the right place for this question but having checked the very interesting pro mixdown course, impressed with the finished sound but wanted to know what sort of meter/LUFS levels you ended up with. Also...was that acheived without limiting?
