Latency issues in Ableton

Hi all

Was wondering if anyone could help with some latency issues I'm having.

I am recording a variety of audio including synths, instruments and vocals.

It's not that im having latency whilst playing - it's more that after i record, my recordings seem to jump forward in time - and I have to manually adjust everything, essentially pushing it back half a second or so. This may not seem to bad but as it happens on every track, it actually takes up a lot of time and really interrupts the flow.

Does anyone know what's causing this and how do deal with it?

Thanks

As for what's causing it, I can't think. I've not personally heard of audio shifting forward in time. If, however, it's an equal amount on every track and the same each time, you can try using the track delay to adjust it rather than moving audio clips around - that might be quicker. To access that, click the 'D' switch in the bottom right corner of the arrangement and then set the time in ms for tracks to be shifted by.

Hope that helps!

Yes it is the same each time. That's a great trick. Used abelton for years and never noticed that. Thanks! Let you know how it goes
