Maschine mk3 template for Ableton 12

Hi everyone,
are any of you using the Maschine mk3 with Ableton 12?
I recently bought one but can only control the vst with it so far. Controlling some basic Ableton functions with it (play, stop etc.) would of course be the goal, so that I don't have to constantly switch to the keyboard and mouse. I found the Maschine mk3 MIDI Control Templates for Live 12 at Native Instruments and set it up according to the instructions https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4413367278097-How-to-Install-Maschine-Templates-for-Ableton-Live .
However, I can still only control the vst. Have any of you had similar difficulties and found a solution? Maybe something needs to be set up in NI's controller editor, but the only available template for Ableton is for version Live 9 as far as I can see...
