Hi all...
If contacted and they "company" are asking for one of my tracks/samples,
and they want to put it on thier label and more etc. What to do?
Just give them what they want, without the talk about $$$ dollars?
Is it a choice between give it free and then get "famous" or should i remind them about some costs?
Hope you guys will share your knowhows and donts!

There should always be a contract if someone wants to release your music, so you can read the terms in that, and ask about the particulars beforehand. Most dance labels (in my experience) do a 50/50 split for instance, although it can be quite a lot less for the artist in some cases (especially with bigger labels and more popular music by newer artists). It's perfectly acceptable for you to ask about the royalty split and a contract before you send them any music.
